We have been working very hard and we absolutely love doing Literacy lift off! We are very thankful for the help of Ms. Guckian, Ms. O’ Rourke and Ms. Gallagher!!
We have a keen interest in the six nations and we are supporting Ireland.
Our play is currently about the hospital. I hope we don’t get sick!!! We pretended to be doctors, nurses, patients and receptionists. We had fun taking x-rays of each other!!!! In addition, we had to call the receptionist to make an appointment with the doctor. Seán even made his own phone at our Junk Art station – “it is an iphone 5” he told the class!!! Play dough was used to make different instruments that the doctor might use, for example; stethoscopes and thermometers. We also built a doctor’s surgery on the block station and Minecraft.
We learnt a lovely song about St. Brigid and in art, we enjoyed making Valentines cards, St. Patrick’s Day cards and Mother’s Day cards. We love our cards!
We learnt a lot about Jesus’ life and all about Lent in our Grow In Love. Cian Enright really enjoyed learning about Lent! Charlie Doran is really proud that we know lots of prayers! We have also learned lots about being kind by Jack Morrison Guerin.
The class, particularly Orlaith feels that “we know lots of Irish”. Aoife and Hollie enjoyed learning about clocks because Aoife is afraid that she will be late for school. Finally, Grace McLoughlin wants you all to know that:
“We have lots of posters!!!!!”
