In Senior Infants we are learning lots of poems. Our favourite poems are “The Giant’s Cake” and “Creative Baking”.
We love to do Art in Senior Infants . Recently we made sea creatures from Model Air. It is like clay but much more fun! The Children made some fabulous creative sea creatures. We were amazed that it took nearly four days for them to dry. The children could not wait to take them home.
We are working on our writing and improving all the time. At the moment we are concentrating on our narrative writing. We wrote about “The Rainbow Fish” and “Cinderella”. We also wrote about our pet monsters. It appears that the children in Senior Infants have some very interesting pets at home!
In Maths Stations we have been working very hard every Wednesday and Thursday morning. Ms Meskell joins us in our room for our stations. We are working on our counting, reading the time, adding using magic circles and lots more fun activities.
Over the past few weeks the hurling coach comes to our school. We are really improving at our hurling skills.
The Diocesan Inspector came to our school. She was really impressed with the children in our class. We told her some of the stories from our “Grow in Love”. We sang songs and said our prayers.
We are really looking forward to our Easter Holidays. Hopefully the Easter Bunny will come to all!!!
